Configuring the Tabletop
Parallel SCSI Tape Drive 0
The factory-set default configuration of the tabletop parallel SCSI LTO-3 Half-Height
Tape Drive is:
• SCSI ID: 6
• Terminator power: enabled
Configuring the Tabletop Drive Parallel SCSI ID

Each device on the parallel SCSI bus must have its own unique SCSI ID. Use the push-
button SCSI ID selector switch on the drive back panel to change the SCSI ID of the
tabletop LTO-3 Half-Height Tape Drive (see
figure 8).

Note: You cannot disable terminator power on a tabletop parallel SCSI drive.
Note: Parallel SCSI controllers and host adapters generally use ID 7. In some systems,
the boot drive uses ID 0 or ID 1. Avoid configuring the LTO-3 Half-Height
Tape Drive to these SCSI IDs.
