Connect the power cables to the host server or workstation and all

peripheral devices.

5 Power on the tape drive and any attached peripheral devices.

6 Power on the server or workstation and allow its operating system to

start.

When you turn on power to the tape drive, it performs its power-on self-

test. The LEDs on the front panel of the tape drive illuminate in a specific

sequence (see Power-On Self-Test (POST) Indicator Activity

on page 51

for details).
