26 If Drive 2 is a fibre drive, press and
to set the ID for Drive 2.
If Drive 2 is not a fibre drive, refer to Step

For a fibre drive, you must choose a number
between 0-126.

Sets the inquiry string returned to the host in a
SCSI inquiry command.
Available options are:
•Scalar 24
•Scalar 100
• Scalar 1000
•Scalar 10K
Recommended: Scalar 24
29 Press and then to accept the
changes and move to the next option.
30 Press and to set the number of
minutes for the timeout value.
Sets the duration of inactivity on a submenu
that causes the menu to go back to the Main
screen and online state.
The timeout window is represented in minutes.
You must specify a value between 1 and 9.
The default setting is 9 minutes.
If you have set a password, after the timeout
window has expired, the password must be re-
entered to access the secure menu features.
31 Press and then to accept the
changes and move to the next option.
32 Press and to enable/disable a
Password.
Available options are:
• on: the password is required to enter any
menu except Status
• off: password is disabled
NOTE: If the password has been enabled
by the SCSI host, you cannot modify or disable
the password using the LCD display.
33 Press and then to accept the
changes and move to the next option.
