78 Using the Menus

Set Inquiry

Set Inquiry allows the host to see your library as another ADIC Scalar product. This can be useful if the

host software does not currently include drivers to communicate with the Scalar 24.

4 If you have two drives installed, press

highlight Drive 2.

5 Press and to select the ID you

would like to set for the Drive 2.

You must choose a number between 0 and

15. Ensure that this ID is different from the IDs

you set for Drive 1 and the library. The default

is 2.

6 Press to highlight Execute ( ) and

then press .

The drive SCSI IDs are set.

7 A confirmation screen displays. Press

to dismiss.
