4.24 REPORT LUNS Command (A0h)

The REPORT LUNS command requests that the SDLT tape drive send the peripheral device logical

unit numbers of known logical units to the applications client. The command only returns information

about the logical units that accept commands.

Specifies the type of logical unit addresses to be reported. All values other than those listed

are reserved.

Value Description

00h The logical unit addresses reported are limited to the following addressing

methods:

• Logical unit addressing

• Peripheral device addressing

• Flat space addressing

01h The list of logical units only contains well-known logical units, if any.

02h The list of logical units contains all logical units accessible to the initiator

through the addressed SCSI target port.
